Mary of the Passion

‘Dear and honoured Mother of the Passion, may your spirit, that evangelical missionary spirit of boundless charity, that spirit of immolation  for the church and the souls, that spirit of ardent and active devotion to Jesus in the Host and to Mary Immaculate prevail; may that spirit of enthusiastic devotion to all that is true, just and beautiful, remain living and imperishable in the heart of the institute of the Franciscan missionaries ; may your magnanimous example, your blessed memory and your intercession before Him who is now your recompense, sustain for many long years in this world, souls like yours, strong and valiant, tender and austere, pieced with the divine wound of the love that makes saints; those souls who, like Francis of Assisi, your seraphic father and your model, may succeed in shedding the glory of God, and change into roses the thorns that are tearing humanity apart’. (Leon de Kerval – November 1904)

May our Mother bless us all
