Repeated celebration of the Incarnation and the Resurrection only endorses the truth of the definite decision of our God to be with us. The paradox of opposites continues and Christ was no exception. His deliberate choice to be one among us, for being good and doing good to those in need of solace entailed the unthinkable torments. Jesus, by His life and His words assured to rise on the third day and the Father did it - raised Him as a Victor over death and of lasting Life.

He was followed by many, some were chosen and few others were shown mercy. Some flee, others hide but Magdalene, out of love and gratitude to Jesus is impelled to rush to the tomb at dawn. She is taken aback. Reports the matter to the men of His close circle. They rush too! They step in, peep into the emptiness but believe the truth of His word. Christ is truly raised to life. The resurrection becomes a historical fact and an ever present reality.

The ardent longing of Magdalene was rewarded. The weak faith of the disciples was strengthened. For us this triumphant feast brings joy and an added duty to make Him known to others. In the paradox of our human existence, shall we pray for the grace to believe that Christ is most present even when He is seemingly absent!

Help us Lord to rise above ourselves.

Help us to shine as children of light and love.

Let Alleluia be our unending song!
