Womanly Help in need

On hearing the message one sets out to meet the other; both in the crucial role of playing their part in the liberation of humanity. One responds only when one feels and is touched by the need of the other. The example of Mary and Elisabeth is a picture of the actual and desperate need of the world, people and of our present context.

Who is not in need? Who doesn’t await a helping hand...a smile, a word, an encouragement, even help at a larger level in the wider circle? To forego self and be for the other is true liberation. But the reality is each is in a cocoon bonded, controlled more and more alienated from even the next door neighbor.

Mary sets an example. She sets forth on hearing of the plight of the aged Cousin Elisabeth. We pray for the delicate grace of being tuned to what God desires for us. We need to walk in another’s shoe to know the bite. If in touch then shall we be ready to relieve the other- the need of the other, situations and people at large. Change in destiny is possible only with a change from within.

Shall we say such a change is needed if the environment in which we live is to be altered? On World Environment day I urge you friend, to feel the environment you create around you. Is it healthy, joy filled and promising? If each did one’s part then will the World environment be different.

Little drops make a mighty ocean!

A fitting example is the 60 years rule of the British Queen! The qualitative celebrations demonstrate how much her reign is valued, appreciated and treasured in the United Kingdom and across the Commonwealth. Her very presence brings joy, beauty, smile, cheer and nobility. Such is the Environment created by the beloved Queen in our days and in our time.

Mary and her cousin  Elisabeth  and Queen Elisabeth II  are women. The power of this gender is yet to break forth to bring to balance the environment intended by the Divine master.
