Pride of the nation and son of God: Abdul Kalam

God raises the lowly and the humble to heights beyond compare. A simple citizen, by his strenuous and persevering efforts steadily rose in stature: in age, wisdom and grace. Grace above all to influence people to think and act differently, break the fetters  self imposed and carried through the ages, light a spark in every contact more so with children, students and the youth as they are the promise of the future. He just walked the talk.

Though laid to rest, his impact will last the test of time. Abdul Kalam rose above religion, politics and philosophies. He was an open book, with a candid look, a captivating smile, simple yet majestic, commanding respect and authority, sought by all, free with all, in short, all in all.

Lord, bless his family and our land. Help us to learn a lesson from his life. Bless our land with leaders of this stature to guide and lead in the path of peace, harmony and prosperity for all.
