INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY - MARCH 8

 CAMPAIGN THEME: #PLEDGEFORPARITY

“The World Economic Forum predicted in 2014 that it would take until 2095 to achieve global gender parity. Then one year later in 2015, they estimated that a slowdown in the already glacial pace of progress meant the gender gap wouldn't close entirely until 2133.”

They identified key drivers

The time for gender parity is now, EY identified three accelerators that independently and collectively help change the trajectory of women’s advancement. They then used these accelerators to develop nine pledges that their people could choose to make a commitment from.

Accelerator #1 - Illuminate the path to leadership: make career opportunities more visible to women
- I pledge to help a woman on my team identify and secure her next promotion
- I pledge to identify opportunities for women on my teams to lead
- I pledge to become a better teammate by learning more about why gender parity matters

Accelerator #2 - Speed up culture change with progressive corporate policy
- I pledge to help create a culture of flexibility for everyone on my team
- I pledge to encourage men on my teams to take paternity leave
- I pledge to seek out perspectives different from my own and encourage everyone to contribute

Accelerator #3 - Build supportive environments and work to eliminate conscious and unconscious bias
- I pledge to become a sponsor for a woman to help her achieve her professional ambitions
- I pledge to challenge our leaders to ensure men and women are treated equally
- I pledge to become more aware of my own biases and work to eliminate them.

Manila: Data from the Philippine Commission on Women shows that in 2013, the Philippines ranked fifth out of 136 countries on the World Economic Forum's Global Gender Gap report. Indai is in 108th place in 2015 report

“A group of Filipino women from various faiths in the Philippines have called on churches to act as a "protector of women's rights" during a two-day assembly marking Women's Month.
"The church of any religion should act as a protector of the rights of women, including those who don't belong to any religion," Maryknoll Sister Nenita Tapia said. She was speaking at a gathering of Catholic, Protestant and Muslim women theologians, which aimed "to celebrate unity as women of faith transcending religious differences.""Because we are women, we know what is best for us and we will not rest until we have fully achieved our vision of a better world for everyone," she added.”

Prayer

“ Give  thanks  to God, Who gives us the victory  through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Cor15:57),

God desires for us  women to live in victory in every area of our life. The scripture says He always causes us to triumph through Christ Jesus! No matter what you may be facing today, God wants to make you more than a conqueror. Are we battling  for parity? God wants to supply all of our needs according to His riches in glory. In the Bible, when God’s people were going into battle, many times they sent the worshipers out in front of the warriors. When you choose to be thankful and bless the Lord in the midst of your battle, you are making a way for Him to move in your life. Start today by thanking Him for His goodness. Magnify your God. Give Him thanks and make the way for victory!

Thank God for all the achievements to date in the cause of women. More than anything, in India we need women to be respected, given the dignity as a partner in life,  able to rejoice over her achievements. Any amount of fight and clamour will not win for us. It is the change of attitude to see the opposite gender as compliment, appreciate , uphold and stop devouring them as animals.

 Nobility needs to replace animosity.

Civility to replace criminality.

Security to replaces inferiority.

Above all equality need be restored not to avoid competition but to restore collaboration….so that as equal s in the eyes of God so too we be in the eyes of one and all on this planet.

“Father, today I give You thanks for Your mercy and faithfulness to me upto now. Thank you for being a woman  with a thirst  for the equality and dignity that you bestowed. in giving  woman as partner  to man. Thank You for always leading me into victory! I magnify You and bless Your holy name in Jesus’ name! Amen.”
