Invocation

He comes, comes, forever comes!

The first four weeks of the new liturgical year/ Advent is a time of waiting for the return of the Lord.

The oft repeated themes during this season of advent are: be watchful, be alert and stay awake, level your path, straighten the way, meet Christ in direct and close relationship, cause the change to happen, let go of your pseudo self,  so that finally Christ becomes our all.

Being alert continuously and for long is tough, very tough indeed. The second coming, being a mystery calls for uninterrupted watchfulness. Only to persons intent on the ultimate purpose and end of life such qualitative perseverance is possible.

What is your present make up?

What other interests draw you away from the ultimate purpose?

Do you really believe in the second coming?
Where is your focus? On the past, present  or the future?

In our days of abundance and self sufficiency do you feel the need for a God?

Are you a fitting witness of the Kingdom to come?

Whatever be our predicament He is sure to come in His time , in His way and true to His Word. Shall we be wise and wait expectantly during these days of advent given by the Church?

More the preparation in Spirit,

better the celebration of Christmas will be.
