The first missionary religious congregation for women in the history of the Church and the world is the Institute of the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary founded in 1877 by BL. Mary of the Passion, now in the 139th year of its course.

The BETI ZINDABAD BAKERY unit, a rehabilitative measure for survivors of human trafficking was inaugurated on the 15th August, 2017 in the premises of JJVS. The historical event witnessed the dignitaries such as District Judge Mr. Rajini Shrivastav, District collector Dr. Pryianka Sukla, District Superintendent of the police Sri. Prasanth Tagore, District Educational officer, District community officer Deepak Soni, District Women and child welfare department officer Ms. Ignatia Toppo, and all block level administration.


The Ministry of Women and Child Welfare, New Delhi selected BETI ZINDABAD BAKERY for its Women Empowerment Award on the 8th March, 2018. The President of India, Mr. Ramnath Kovind, in his Presidential Palace gave the Award to Ms.Parvati who represented the bakery unit. This is yet another feat
