Ishalaya reflects “God’s dwelling place” always open to all peoples without any discrimination of caste, creed and religious differences. The “call within the call”

Our Mission

Mary of the Passion with a large heart willing to embrace those in need of  whatever kind did not specify a particular line of action for her daughters. Instead, they are expected to answer the needs of our  day as she did in her life time. Being the first missionary congregation for women in the church she reached out wholesale for the development and liberation of women – claiming self-respect, providing means to earn their livelihood and to be daring to an extant too.

Our Vision

For Mary of the Passion the very purpose of the Institute was to announce to all the reign of God. This universal concept of mission is clearly revealed in her writings on the Kingdom of God, sometimes called the kingdom of love, of charity, of justice, and kingdom of peace. Hence the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary promote the reign of God, through various activities as well as by the silent witness of their lives, by accepting daily tensions, through painful physical infirmities

We know, brethren beloved of God that you were chosen by him.(1 Tim 1:4)

Mary of the Passion let herself seized by God who was able to satisfy the thirst for truth that motivated her. Founding the Franciscan Missionaries of mary, she burned to communicate the torrents of love that sprang up in her and wished to extend them all over the world. At the heart of the missionary commitment she placed prayer and the Eucharist because, for her, adoration and mission blended to become the same work. Drawing on scripture and the Fathers of the Church, combining a mystical and active vocation, passionate and intrepid, she gave herself with an intuitive and bold readiness to the universal mission of the Church, and welcome the invitation to live to with renewed fidelity the intuition of founding charism, so that many may discover Jesus, who makes us enter into the mystery of love that is god

Our Services

Promoting Justice, dignity, harmony and communion among people

Her desire to serve the less fortunate led her to open educational institutions, health-care services and set up self-supporting activities for women. We respond to the vulnerable and the marginalized of our days, focusing especially on women through varied services, empowering and assuring them a dignified life. In a spirit of minority and solidarity we commit to live in inter- connectedness with the cosmos, care for mother earth thus sharing God`s gifts with all. Through the powerful means of the media we share our spirituality and promote higher levels of communion among people.

                                                                   Bring Healing and Wholeness

Proverbs 15:4, TLB

Gentle words cause life and health; griping brings discouragement.

You have something that will cause your spouse to blossom, your children to bloom, your loved ones to feel more secure. It’s not your money, your hard work, or your accomplishments; it’s your kind words. They need to hear how much you love them, how much you believe in them, how great you think they are. Today there are so many voices saying harsh things, being rude and demeaning, trying to push people down. We need to be just as bold and speak our mind in a positive way. God is counting on us to be healers, to be lifters, to be encouragers.

Don’t let a day go by when you don’t say something kind to the people God put in your life. It’s not enough to just think it; your thoughts don’t nourish anyone. A blessing is not a blessing until it’s spoken. They need to hear, “I love you. I’m proud of you. You’re beautiful. You’re going to do great things.” Make it your business to nourish people’s souls, to bring healing and wholeness.

Prayer for Today

“Father, thank You for the people You have placed in my life and the special role You have given me in their lives. Thank You that You can take my words of encouragement and bring healing and wholeness to them. Help me to see who I can bless and lift up today. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
