In a significant step towards strengthening its digital presence and expanding its outreach, the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary Social Service Society (FMMSSS) of Assunta Region, India  officially launched its organisational website on 9 August 2026 at Assuntha Bhavan, Hanamkonda, Telangana, India. The launch marks a new chapter in the organisation’s journey of service, advocacy and empowerment, opening a wider digital window to its mission and work among vulnerable communities.

Founded on 31 January 2004, FMMSSS is a registered, non-profit and non-political social service organisation committed to promoting the dignity, protection and empowerment of women, children and young people. Over the years, its programmes have extended across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Goa, Gujarat, Odisha and Maharashtra, addressing some of the most pressing social concerns affecting vulnerable communities.

The official website was launched by Rt. Rev. Vijay Paul Reddy Duggempudi, Bishop of Warangal, in the presence of Sr. Romaldina, Regional Superior of the Assunta Region; Sr. Maria Selvi, Regional Superior of the St. Joseph Region; Sr. Placida, Regional Superior of the St. Francis Region; Sr. Mary John, Regional Superior of the Nazareth Region; Sr. Sahaya, Director of FMMSSS; Sr. Amirtha, Treasurer; Sr. Nirmala, Superior; FMM sisters from neighbouring communities and different regions; FMMSSS staff; children; and representatives from various government departments and offices.

During the programme, Sr. Sahaya, Director of FMMSSS, and Ms. B. Karuna presented the organisation’s major interventions and achievements. They highlighted the Society’s ongoing commitment to child protection, prevention of human and child trafficking, prevention of child marriage, women’s empowerment, education, livelihood promotion and the protection of vulnerable communities.

The website was formally inaugurated when Bishop Vijay Paul Reddy accessed the organisation’s digital platform, www.fmmsss.org, making the work and mission of FMMSSS more accessible to a wider audience. In his message, the Bishop appreciated the dedicated service of FMMSSS to vulnerable children, women and communities.

This website provides  an online platform, the new website represents an important instrument for communication, transparency, collaboration and networking. It will provide a space to share FMMSSS programmes, achievements, stories of transformation, advocacy initiatives and emerging needs with partners, supporters, government agencies, donors, civil society organisations and the wider public.

The launch therefore signifies more than a technological advancement. It reflects FMMSSS’s willingness to embrace new opportunities while remaining deeply rooted in its mission of compassionate service. It is an invitation to partners and well-wishers across the world to discover, connect and journey with FMMSSS in its continuing commitment to building safer, more inclusive and empowered communities.

As FMMSSS begins this new digital chapter, it renews its commitment to protecting life, promoting dignity, empowering communities and creating pathways of hope, especially for those who are most vulnerable and marginalised.
