Love is the most precious of all things in the world. It is
a powerful media and instrument in our lives. It’s because of
love, God created the world and it’s because of His love we came
into being and are sustained in this world.
A tree was created with love to give fruits and shadow
A river was created with love to give water to all the living
The sun was created with love to give light to us.
They are not tired of giving their love and sharing what they are.
Likewise, God who created the world never tires to bless us,
because he loves us. His love never ends.
We, the Franciscan Missionaries Mary are the branches of
the tree planted by Bl. Mary of the Passion who loved us to bear

much fruits through mission. Her love was a growing tree, her
mission was a running river, her zeal was a shining sun, her love
never ends because her love is end.
Being a Franciscan missionary of Mary I admire the life
style of Mary of the passion who is our foundress. She imbibed
the strength of the holy spirit. Though she was born and brought
up in France but when she came to India as a missionary, she
adopted everything for the sake of Christ and for the
development of the women in the society. Her valuable quotes
have challenged my life to be a true missionary following her
ways. As she said, let us walk in truth and charity to accomplish
marvels.
God will not forsake who dedicates her life for the sake
of his love. While I was reading her life history, I was inspired by
her life living words and her dedicated life for the sake of Christ.
In order to be a faithful missionary, she practiced these values as
an instrument, no gossip, pure intention, her focus was only on
the mission, great respect to the sisters in the community, no
politics, perseverance to learn language and to achieve the goal,
adapted the new culture with difficulties and endured all
sufferings and pains without complains throughout her life
journey.
Each event of our lives is sent by God´s love for a special
reason. God has chosen a particular person to be the foundress
of the FMM missionaries. She made a strong foundation on
earth as the tree rooted in the soil. Her mission as a branch
spreaded all over the world with many young women.
Her mission was focused only on the people those who
were suffering in the society. A seed doesn’t have very easy life
to grow as a tree. It dies painfully and it takes time to sprout,
slowly takes process to have life, and to grow as a tree bears

much fruit on the earth. God had a plan for her and she obliged
to His will. She almost spent her time Infront of the Eucharistic
Lord to receive strength from him. She was faithful in making
retreat and meditation because her reflection everything was in
her personal diary as a journal. She journeyed with full of hope
and faith because as she said it is not my will if it is God´s will it
will flourish. That’s true God never forsake her during her
difficulties. He strengthened her vocation and her mission in
order to spread his mission all over the world. In my life too I
heard His call; felt His presence and offered my life to Him and
for His mission.
My inspirations from the life of our Foundress, Bl.
Mary of the Passion are:
to live simply,
to walk humbly and
to love genuinely.
God´s love and blessings are always there in the life and
growth of any human being, the crown image of all His creatures.

His love never ends because He is love.
