It is by deeds and by being ready to sacrifice ourselves, our
love proves that it is real. As a student i was inspired by the
service of the missionaries in my parish, who taught me both
spiritual and moral values through catechism classes. I never
thought i will become a Franciscan Missionary of Mary, but God
has planned for me from all eternity to be a Missionary in Peru. I
was ready to fulfill His plan for me and offer my life for His
mission.
Being a missionary in other country is not very easy to
adapt everthing. I took time to adjust with the climate, food,
language above all i was open to the culture and to dedícate
myself for the people of Peru. Day by day i challanged myself to
face the difficulties with patience. I succeeded because i love
my vocation and i involved totally in the community service.
Our Foundress Mary of the Passion said that, grow each
day in the spirit of love and faith. Though i am not perfect in
speaking spanish but i took efforts to read the spanish bible
every day. Comparing to other books the bible is the best one
to learn the language and equally to grow more in faith. I have
improved in Reading Spanish. God’s life giving words boosted
me to remain in his love. The encouragement and
accompaniment of the sisters in the community made me to step
forward confidently.
Love calls for detachment and detachment calls for love.
In order to be a selfless missionary i detached my unworthiness
and negative thoughts. I tried to liberate myself from my past to
think positively and move towards my future. I occupied myself
to learn language to communicate with all our sisters in the
community and with the people those who are working in the
convent very specially during the Covid-19. I had sufficient time
to spend with the Lord and to thank for His protection and His
marvelous deeds. I surrended myself to accept His will.
God is the origin of my love. Though i did not have any
extra activity during this time I had courage to go to the market
to buy vegetables and provisions. I was happy because i learnt

how to buy the things and to communicate to the seller in
spanish. Initially i encouraged myself to speak with them. I
collected all the bills and did my account to submit to the sister
incharge. It was my perfect joy when i involved fully. I was able
to speak and manage at that moment. I enjoyed cooking and i
prepared different ítems like sweets, food, snacks etc. I was
happy doing gardening, watering and cleaning the house. I
made use of this opportunity to help in the community.
The missionaries of love are those who are steadfast,
as a missionary i dedicated myself with the community sisters for
the poor, by packing the provisions systematically. I was happy
to present myself when i distributed the things to them. Online
meetings also helped me to develope my learning skills.
The missión is not just what i do as a service in the
community but also my communication with my sisters and my
attitude is important to buildup my relationship with them. I
accept them as a family. I have a good rapport with them. They
are very sociable and lovable. They encourage me whenever i
took initiatives and efforts to learn the language. They
appreciate whatever i do for them. I love this misión that is
why i don’t discourage myself. I am grateful to the sisters those
who are challenging me to grow and support my growth. I
salute all my friends and loved ones those who are really playing
the greater role in my life.
Every one creates a specific place in the history with the
struggles of their times and with their uniqueness. I créated a
history by being here for one year.
