Empowering Marginalized Communities

The FMM SUDAR Project, spearheaded by the Foundation for the Management of Marginalized Communities, is committed to uplifting widows, single mothers, and transgender individuals through educational and vocational training, fostering economic independence and personal growth.

Celebrating a Milestone

On September 2, 2024, SUDAR celebrated its 4th Annual Anniversary at the Rosary Matriculation Auditorium. The event was graced by Rev. Dr. Antony Sebastian, Director of JD Academy for Excellence, as the chief guest, and Sr. Maria Selvi, Regional Superior, as the guest of honour.

Opening Address and Artistic Performance

The welcome speech, delivered by Mrs. Roselin, reflected on the project’s achievements and its impact on marginalized communities. A prayer dance performed by transgender participant Ms. Omana showcased a seamless fusion of spirituality and creativity, captivating the audience.

Recognition of Achievements

Certificates were awarded to 34 women who completed tailoring courses, symbolizing their commitment to skill development. Dr. Fr. Arul Joe of LIBA was acknowledged for supporting mini-MBA students, whose efforts were recognized with tokens of appreciation.

Inspirational Stories

Beneficiaries, including transgender individuals, shared their life experiences, inspiring attendees and highlighting the importance of social inclusion. Their stories resonated deeply, receiving heartfelt applause.

Festive Performances

The Cakes and Bakery Unit added vibrancy to the event with a lively dance performance, showcasing the diverse talents of SUDAR beneficiaries.

Gratitude and Unity

The Vote of Thanks highlighted the contributions of beneficiaries, guests, and supporters. The event concluded with the National Anthem, leaving attendees with a sense of pride and unity, inspired to continue the mission of empowerment.
